The Mission

At Advanced Counseling / Communicating Love, it is our mission to help give couples and families the communication tools to be able to overcome the emotional blocks that prevent their most important relationships from being what they should be:

Meet Rodney Limb, M.Ed., CPC, CCHT

Rodney Limb has always enjoyed listening to people and helping them work out problems and struggles. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Nationally Licensed Hypnotherapist for over 20 years, he has helped hundreds of couples create a happy and thriving marriage out of disaster.

Rod received his formal education from Boise State University and the College of Idaho. Through this education — combined with his own life experience — he has been able to realize his life's work. He values the education he receives from his own marriage as well. With over 33 years of this "on-the-job" training, he believes he's just beginning to understand what it means to build a truly great marriage.

Rod is also a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, regularly using their research-backed assessment tools to help couples gain clarity, improve communication, and strengthen their relationships.

He believes much of his success in his own marriage is due to his active participation in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he values the principles of eternal marriage and strives to apply them — and teach them — in every aspect of his work.

Meet Janell Stears, CPC

Janell Stears helped with the pioneering of CommunicatingLove's use of the EVOX in 2009 and has returned to assist others with this unique emotional clearing experience. She earned her Bachelor's of Science degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho with an emphasis in Family & Marriage Studies and a sub-emphasis in Visual Arts.

In addition to her degree, she has also earned certifications in several Behavioral Health roles, including ABA Intervention Specialist, Community-Based Rehabilitative Services, Case Management, Targeted Care Coordinator in conjunction with the YES Medicaid program, and Professional Certified Coach. Over the past decade, she has worked with many individuals and families with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses of all ages in home, school, and community settings. Helping parents, teens, and other unique individuals, Janell believes that your unique family context serves as the ideal setting for supported growth.

With a combination of EVOX and Coaching, Janell welcomes you into her office to help strengthen your relationship and coping skills, while equipping you with tools to balance life's challenges, reframe stuck perspectives, and find joy in continued personal growth.

Meet Cora Moss, Marriage Mentor

Trained and Vetted to Lead, Prepare, & Enrich marriage group classes

Cora is dedicated to helping individuals and couples strengthen their relationships through effective communication and intentional connection. She is completing her Bachelor's degree in Marriage and Family Studies at Brigham Young University – Idaho, where she has gained in-depth knowledge of relationship dynamics, conflict resolution, and emotional well-being.

As a wife and mother, Cora understands the complexities of balancing personal growth, family life, and strong relationships. She is passionate about empowering clients to set healthy boundaries, improve communication, and develop habits that foster lasting love and understanding. Her coaching focuses on practical tools and mindset shifts that enable individuals and couples to create deeper emotional intimacy and stronger foundations for their relationships.

Through her work at Communicating Love, Cora strives to help others transform the way they connect, communicate, and nurture their most important relationships.

Meet Emily Campbell, Marriage Mentor

Trained and Vetted to Lead, Prepare, & Enrich marriage group classes

Emily lives in Alaska with her husband and recently graduated from BYU-Idaho with a bachelor's degree in Marriage and Family Studies.

She is passionate about therapy and helping marriages and families build stronger, lasting relationships. Through her studies, Emily has developed a deep interest in improving communication, fostering emotional connections, and creating healthy boundaries between couples.

As a wife, daughter, and sister, Emily has experienced firsthand the complexities of family dynamics. She is dedicated to supporting couples through all stages of life, from dating and pre-marriage to the various transitions that come with marriage.

Through her work with Communicating Love and becoming a certified facilitator for Prepare and Enrich, she loves the process of diving into meaningful discussions and exercises that help couples deepen their bonds and cultivate lasting love.
